Bader wins at XCC 6
Former McQueen High wrestler Ryan “Darth” Bader rode a vocal and supportive crowd to a quick victory in the main event of “Xtreme Cage Combat 6, The Western Threat,” at the Reno Events Center on Saturday night.
Bader, who went on to wrestle at Arizona State, improved to 7-0 in Mixed Martial Arts with a 47-second win over Buckley Acosta (3-4) of Brawley, Calif. Bader slammed Acosta to the floor and ended the fight with a side choke. Bader got exactly what he wanted.
“I (wanted) a first-round stoppage in front of my friends and family,” Bader said.
