Zack Surdyka wins at Desert Rage
The event was held on the Cocopah Casino in Yuma, AZ on November 8th, 2008 and Desert Rage Full Contact Fighting promoted it.
The event had 12 fights including three title fights. Title bout format consisted of five, five-minute rounds with the others being three, five-minute rounds.
Zack Surdyka (AZ Combat Sports) defeated Juan Voelker (Baja Battle Extreme) by unanimous decision (30-27). Making his PRO debut, Surdyka, who is a native of Yuma, pressed the pace of the fight throughout, controlling the action on the ground and the few instances when they were on their feet.
