Pan Am 09 results
The Pan Am took place in Carson, CA on March 27,28 & 29th. Our Team took home to Arizona 10 medals! Here are the standouts of the team:

Steve Rosenberg (Brown Belt/adult/light) took third last year as a brown belt, and took first place this year at the toughest brown belt division. Steve submitted three out of four opponents.

Pat Runez (Purple Belt/Adult/Light Feather). Pat’s third Pan Am title! (07&08 Blue Belt,09 Purple Belt). He will be fighting Uly Gomez for the PFC Flyweight title in May.

Pedro Diaz (Blue/Senior 3/Heavy) – 1st place, (Open) 1st place. Pedro repeated the same outstanding performance from the U.S. Nationals 08, where he won his weight division and the Open Class.

Plus,
Eddie Welch (White/Master/Middle) – 2nd place

Derling Gonzales (White/Master/Ultra Heavy) – 2nd place

Ken Aiello (Blue/Adults/Super Heavy) - 3rd place

Toni Ozlanski (Blue/Senior 1/Light) – 3rd place

Steve Heilman (Blue/Senior 2/Light ) - 3rd place

Mannie Romero (Brown/Senior 1/Light) – 3rd place

Thanks to Gustavo and ACS for the excellent training in the week before the Pan Ams. Coming from SE Asia, it really helps to train with a world class team with such a range of talented training partners even if only for a week or two a year.
Steve and Manny were great coaching me in the final of my division at the Pan Ams. I won my division (Purple/Senior 1/middle heavy) and came third in open weight.
I look forward to visiting again next year. Thanks, Scott
